El projecte d’intervenció a Punta Falconera, premi COAC d’Arquitectura 2022
Els guanyadors d’enguany obtenen un ajut per l'import dels crèdits matriculats en el primer any d'alguna de les titulacions oficials ofertes per la Universitat de Girona, per al curs acadèmic 2022-2023, fins a un màxim de 1.800 euros, en el cas que l'estudiant no tingui matrícula gratuïta, o una reducció equivalent al preu públic en la matrícula als centres adscrits a la UdG EUSES i Escola Universitària ERAM. A més, es difondran els treballs i es farà una aportació econòmica per adquirir llibres, música, material educatiu o informàtic repartida entre l’estudiant, el tutor i el centre de secundària on s’ha dut a terme el treball.
Un treball ben desenvolupat i estructurat
El jurat, format pels membres de la Junta directiva i els cap de servei de la Demarcació de Girona del COAC, va decidir premiar el treball dedicat a la Punta Falconera perquè extreu conclusions sintetitzades, ben fonamentades, a partir d’un treball de camp basat en el coneixement i la vivència del mateix lloc, complementat amb la cerca de dades, la bibliografia i les fons consultades. El jurat també destaca la qualitat de la maqueta amb el seu estudi topogràfic i la proposta on, amb poca intervenció, resol l’objectiu plantejat.
COAC LAUNCHES ITS 2022 GRANT APPLICATIONS CALL FOR LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION PROJECTS
With the aim of continuing to highlight the role of architecture in society, the COAC has opened its eleventh grant applications call for local and international development cooperation projects related to architecture and town planning. The awarding of these grants is in keeping with the COAC’s commitment to allocating 0.7% of its annual budget to social pursuits.
Among those eligible to apply for grants are associations, NGOs, foundations and other non-profit bodies working in the field of cooperation with international and/or local development which have architects among their collaborators, whether salaried, volunteers or with a professional service contract.
Main areas: local and international
This call covers two main areas for grants:
- International development cooperation: projects focused on community development in developing countries, working in the most disadvantaged areas and/or those affected by natural disasters or conflicts.
- Local development cooperation: projects focused on community development for people living in vulnerable situations or at social risk in first world areas.
Within each of these two areas, there are five types of grant:
a) Building or renovation of housing
b) Building or renovation of community facilities
c) Building or renovation of infrastructures
d) Building or renovation of public spaces
e) Urban planning
The sums to be allocated range from €3,000 to €10,000 in the case of international projects, with a local-level projects able to apply for up to a maximum of €3,000. A total of €47,000 will, therefore, be awarded in this round of applications.
Submission of applications
All applications must be submitted before 1 pm on the closing date of 27 June. Applicants, who must be members of the COAC, should complete the application form and submit it, along with the required documentation, either by email to cooperacio@coac.cat or in person to the secretary’s office of any of the association’s branches.

GUIM COSTA CALSAMIGLIA, NEW DEAN OF THE COAC
Costa received the largest number of votes, with a total of 877, ahead of Manuel Ruisánchez Capelástegui (872) and Carla Habif Hassid Bozzo (165). A total of 117 blank ballots were also recorded.
Working alongside Guim Costa, the Governing Board will also include Gemma Ferré Pueyo, assuming the role of secretary, Imanol Montero Viar acting as treasurer, as well as the trustees, Greta Tresserra Sans, Inés de Rivera Marinel·lo and Josep Maria Quílez Soler.
Celebrating the result, Costa said that “the architects have voted for a new, cross-disciplinary and inclusive association. For an association open to all. For a better future for the collective.” The new dean aims to start his “mandate with an intensive programme of meetings with the administration to get this new phase under way and begin realising our project for the COAC,” in addition to meeting with the personnel, who he views as “the heart of the institution”.
The newly elected officials will take office on 15 June, following a handover period from the team led by Assumpció Puig, who won the elections in 2018 to become the first female dean in the history of the Architects’ Association of Catalonia.
COAC regional elections
Sandra Bestraten Castells has been elected as president of the Barcelona regional office, having secured 752 of the votes, with fellow candidate Pere Castelltort Sales receiving 614 votes. A total of 166 blank ballots were recorded. In El Vallès, Fermín Aparicio has been appointed to the post of delegate after winning 124 votes, ahead of Joan Carles Reviejo, with 112.
The elected members of the boards of directors for Comarques Centrals, Terres de l’Ebre, Girona, Lleida and Camp de Tarragona were formally announced on 26 April, with only one candidate standing for each area.
As such, Claudina Relat Goberna is now the elected president for Comarques Centrals and Elena Rosales Castellà for Terres de l’Ebre; Marc Riera Guix is the returning president for Girona, while Lluís de la Fuente Pascual takes up the role in Lleida, as does Jordi J. Romera Cid in Camp de Tarragona.
Election participation
A total of 2,084 architects took part in the 2022 elections, representing 19.27% of the Association’s membership base. A total of 10,814 architects, 605 more than in the last election, were invited to cast their vote to choose the COAC representatives.
Guim Costa i Calsamiglia, nuevo decano del COAC
Guim Costa i Calsamiglia será el nuevo decano del Colegio de Arquitectos de Cataluña para el período 2022-2026, después de ganar las elecciones celebradas el 16 y 17 de mayo.
Con un total de 877 votos, la candidatura liderada por Costa ha sido la más votada, por delante de Manuel Ruisánchez i Capelástegui (872) y Carla Habif Hassid Bozzo (165). También se han registrado 117 votos en blanco.
Guim Costa formará Junta de Gobierno con Gemma Ferré Pueyo como secretaria, Imanol Montero Viar en el cargo de tesorero, e Inés de Rivera Marinel·lo, Greta Tresserra Sans y Pep Quilez Soler como vocales.
Costa se ha mostrado satisfecho con los resultados y ha afirmado que “los y las arquitectos han votado por un colegio nuevo, transversal e inclusivo. Por un colegio abierto a todos. Por un futuro mejor para el colectivo”. El nuevo decano quiere “empezar el mandato con una agenda intensa de reuniones con la administración para encarrilar la nueva etapa e iniciar el cumplimiento de nuestro proyecto para el COAC”, además de reunirse con el personal laboral que son, para él, “el corazón de la institución”.
La toma de posesión de los nuevos cargos electos se hará el próximo 15 de junio. Hasta entonces, habrá un período de traspaso del equipo liderado por Assumpció Puig, que ganó las elecciones el 2018, convirtiéndose en la primera decana de la historia del Colegio de Arquitectos de Cataluña.
Las elecciones en las demarcaciones del COAC
En la Demarcación de Barcelona ha salido escogida Sandra Bestraten i Castells como presidenta, con 752 votos, mientras que Pere Castelltort i Sales ha obtenido 614. Se han registrado 166 votos en blanco. En el Vallés, Fermín Aparicio ocupará el cargo de delegado después de conseguir 124 votos, por delante de Joan Carles Reviejo, con 112.
Bestraten ha asegurado que su elección es “una verdadera inyección de confianza y energía para seguir trabajando por la profesión“. También ha recordado que “el equipo que represento se compromete a hacer del COAC una institución cercana y útil para todos los compañeros y compañeras de profesión” con el objetivo de “mejorar el día a día de nuestro trabajo, poniéndolo en valor delante de toda la sociedad”.
En cuanto al resto de Juntas Directivas, las candidaturas a la Demarcación de Comarques Centrals, Ebre, Girona, Lleida y Tarragona fueron proclamadas electas el 26 de abril, ya que sólo se presentó una única candidatura por territorio.
De esta manera, Claudina Relat i Goberna ya es la presidenta electa de Comarques Centrals; Elena Rosales i Castellà, del Ebre; Marc Riera i Guix, que repite en Girona; Lluís De La Fuente i Pascual, en Lleida; y Jordi J. Romera i Cid, en Tarragona.
Participación en los comicios
Las elecciones de este 2022 han registrado una participación del 19,27%, que corresponde a 2.084 colegiados. Hasta 10.814 arquitectos, 605 más que en les últimas elecciones, estaban llamados a las urnas para escoger a los representantes del COAC.
