The Barcelona International Landscape Biennale announces the 13th edition of the Rosa Barba Casanovas International Landscape Prize, a prestigious prize in the field of landscape architecture that recognizes the best completed project from the last five years. With a cash prize of €15,000, the Prize is supported by the Banc Sabadell Foundation.

Registration will be open until May 30, 2025. The finalists and jury members will be the main speakers at the Biennale International Landscape Symposium, which will take place from November 19 to 21, at the Petit Palau of the Palau de la Música Catalana. In addition, the selected projects will be published in the Biennale Book-catalog, included in the Rosa Barba Prize exhibition, and featured in PAISATECA, the Biennale's digital archive.

Un referent internacional en el paisatgisme
Over the years, this Prize has become a key reference that reflects the trends, social concerns, and professional contributions in the field of landscape architecture. In the context of climate emergency, the event promotes reflection on landscape and territory intervention and recovery, highlighting projects that incorporate green infrastructure, nature-based solutions (NbS), and climate adaptation strategies.

This Prize is part of the Barcelona International Landscape Biennale, which in its 13th edition presents the theme "Natural…intelligence?!", reflecting the innovative and transformative approach with which landscape architecture tackles the current challenges of landscape and territory.

An international jury of experts
The prize jury will be chaired by Kate Orff, RLA, FASLA, founder of SCAPE, and includes other renowned professionals such as Bruno Marques, president of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA); Michel Desvigne, director of Michel Desvigne Landscape Architects; Henry Crothers, founder of Landlab; and Laura Zampieri, landscape architect and co-founder of CZstudio.
