From June 22 to August 8, 2022, the exhibition "Geometries" Josep Piqué Iserte can be seen at the COAC Tarragona.
“His training as an architect accompanied him throughout his life and, in one way or another, permeated his artistic work. This symbiosis aroused the interest of the Board of the COAC-Tarragona, and together we undertook the project of a unique exhibition, as it shows us a whole set of works by Josep Piqué where the pure geometric shapes and the geometrization of reality that we find persistently in his creative trajectory.
With various geometric concepts, Josep Piqué orders the composition, constructs volumes, projects shadows, structures spaces and objects, natures and landscapes, human faces and absolute abstractions. The essentiality of the line, the triangle, the spiral and other figures with geometric roots provide the alphabet for personal expression. Our task has been to select the works that speak to us with this synthetic language, which the artist feels as his own and in which, of course, training as an architect has a direct influence and relationship. ” M. Xerrada “Noves formes d’habitar per assolir una ciutat més social i sostenible” L’experiència i obra de Peris+Toral arquitectes

Peris +Toral Arquitectes des del seu despatx de Barcelona retroalimenten la pràctica amb una investigació continuada en els àmbits de l'habitatge públic col·lectiu i l'espai urbà, sota una línia de pensament que situa l'individu com a centre de l'acció i l'arquitecte com a agent social.

Marta Peris i José Toral suggereixen escenaris en què l'usuari pren el relleu d'habitar i aspiren a replantejar els estàndards del programa per donar resposta a les maneres d'habitar que la societat necessita a cada moment.

La seva obra 84 habitatges socials a Cornellà he obtingut el reconeixement en alguns dels mes prestigiosos premis d’arquitectura, guanyadora del premis MAPEI a l'Arquitectura Sostenible 2021, finalista al Premi Mies Van Der Rohe 2022,   Premio Europeo di Architettura MATILDE BAFFA UGO RIVOLTA 2021,  2021 Gold Award BEST ARCHITECTS 22,  i molts d'altres.  

També han obtingut reconeixements per molts altres projectes: 105 Habitatges socials per gent gran a les Glòries, 54 Habitatges a Bon Pastor, Punt d’informació a les Glòries, 36 habitatges per joves a Can Caralleu, entre altres.

Dijous, 21 de juliol tornen les activitats culturals d’estiu a la Casa Lluvià. Reprenem L’Hora del Pati amb una jornada sobre arquitectura, gastronomia i música, en el marc del pati de la Casa Lluvià seu de la Demarcació de les Comarques Centrals del Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya.
